What's in Your Backyard?
A Juried Exhibit of Photographs of Lincoln Wildlife Taken by Lincoln Residents
shown at the Lincoln Library from December 1-26, 2008

This event was sponsored by a grant from the Lincoln Cultural Council,
a local agency which is part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

This gallery contains photographs submitted by amateur photographers residing in Lincoln, MA. Many of these photos were chosen by a panel of jurors for inclusion in an exhibit shown in the Lincoln Public Library during December 2008. However there were so many great entries submitted for consideration it was impossible to include them all and the jurors had to make some very tough choices.

Because of this many terrific photographs of some of the wildlife which can be found in our town could not be included in the exhibit. It seemed a shame to not make these photos available to people, especially since one of the goals of the exhibit was to help Lincolnites learn more about the wildlife which surrounds us. This website was created in order to allow anyone who submitted their work for consideration (whether their work was included in the public exhibit or not) to participate further by having their work displayed online in furtherance of the educational goals of this project. Thank you to all who submitted their work for this website.

This website is organized based on the types of wildlife in the photos which were submitted. These break down into the following categories: Mammals, Birds, Amphibians and Reptiles, Insects. You may click on any image to see a full size version.
